![Text Box: FOR ATTENTION OF PARENTS APPLYING FOR SECONDARY SCHOOL PLACES FOR SEPTEMBER 2011.
we will be recording shul attendance as the requirement is that to claim the full three points synagogue attendance requirement will now be for eight Shabbatot [all Yamim Noraim and Chagim are excluded] during the period 8 May 2010 – 16 October 2010. In addition applicants will still be able to score points for Cheder attendance and voluntary work. Please could you also make a note (on Motzei shabbat) when you attend services.
Please come and support your fellow members at the Early Morning minyan if you can. It is sometimes difficult to get a minyan on a cold morning at this time of the year, especially as some of our regulars are away.
The Association of Jewish Refugees (AJR) hold a monthly meeting at EMS. Starting at 2.00pm their afternoon includes a speaker and ends with tea. All refugees, descendents and survivors are welcome to attend the meetings with a view to joining the AJR.
The last Shabbat of each month: Nosh N’Drosh - Tea, chat and informal study of modern issues through Jewish eyes. Meets. From 4.00pm to 5.30pm at Rabbi and Cindy's home.
